This issue specifically resulted in new name change tokens being issued, the website and mobile app also both indicate I have a bungie name change available as I have never changed it anyways. Whenever I try it just refreshes the page and doesnt do anything. This was also on the known issues of several recent TWID articles until a couple weeks ago when it was removed with no explanation being given or fix being stated.

If the change is not saving, that indicates the attempted name is being blocked by the filter and you would need to choose another name.

I tried my playform names first. Which were FatAmerican1 (also my previous bungie name and what I would prefer it to be) and footballman. I’ve also tried several variants of just Guardian5677 and then adding (adept) (harrowed) etc to the end just to see if it would work and none did. “Bungie names cannot be changed.” Was in the known issues section of TWID as recent as 10/31/2024 and no patch notes since have indicated this has been fixed. Is it possible that this is still an issue?

Edited by TuxyDoh: 12/3/2024 4:48:31 PMIf the name was moderated, it will be blocked in all forms. Adding adept wont bypass the filter. You will need a completely different name. The issue has been fixed, what you are encountering is trying to get a moderated name past the filter. Not sure about footballman, but if it is not going through the filter doesnt like it.

So every single platform name, and my current “guardian” name have all been moderated? The name ive been adding adept to is my current one just to see if it would work and it still doesnt

As I mentioned, not certain about footballman, but the fatamerican is the one you stated was moderated, regardless of if it is your platform name or not will trip filter in any form as previously moderated.

Why is “guardian5677 (adept)” being blocked then?

I would only be speculating. I would however, refrain from trying anything you dont want to be stuck with as your name as a test. You may want to try using an alternate browser or the companion app, some privacy settings or blockers can interfere with Bungie.net settings.

I’ve tried the app primarily. Guess I’ll try a different browser next and see if that works
