Strand requires ownership of the LightFall expansion to use it. Unlocking during free to play events only allows you to use it during those events.

ok thanks, but i am confused as to why i could use it outside of those events, i had strand from the time lightfall was open for a weekend or something and had no peoblems using it until final shape droped, and also i could use it last week im not complaining i just want to understand what happened

If you were able to use it without an event you were benefiting from a bug as that is not intended
