Fascinating stuff! 🤔
The one puzzle in this strike that I’ve not yet solved is the location of the object my ghost (Murphy) keeps alerting me too…ie, in the section where one has to cross the chasm, on the other side, is a tanky boss, and a squad of psions and space rhinos.
Once dealt with, Murphy (👻) alerts to an object that needs investigation…once investigated, it should bleep no more!? Just like all the other ‘alerts’ from way back, eg, ‘find the crew’ alerts on Nessus, near Failsafe’s ship.
Back to the chasm, and the alert area just below and to the right of where the boss stands - as seen from where one enters the area on the opposite side of the chasm…
Whenever I’ve done this strike, I search high and low to try find the object, as Murphy (👻) keeps bleeping…but have never been able to find it?! 🧐
It might well be a glitch…as I’m pretty sure I’d have found it way back when…but it’s one of those little things that grates…but only just a little! 😵💫😁
That’s all!

I hate running into these scannables that have no use!! 😭 It’s always such a pain to expect the revelation you needed to only be greeted by silence and ghost sfx… (Nice ghost name btw :D)

Do people read these? 🤔 I do! 😎 Murphy 👻 aka Murphy’s Law: whenever I play PvP or PvE , I’m always in the wrong place at the right time…every time!? 😐 For example: standing in a group of Guardians…it’s me who gets shot by the sniper overseas, or the incoming rocket from Pluto…etc., and that’s in PvE… In PvP / Trials - I’m hardly ever in the right place, not ever?! I walk around a corner…and meet a knife whistling towards my noggin…or maybe a rocket / GL round en route from goodness knows where?! 😵💫 Hence, Murphy’s Law: if it can go wrong - it will! 😂 I love Murphy! 👻 Cheers! 🫡

I am fairly sure that one is stuck in the wall, much like the one in Festering Core a few years back that couldn't be reached. You can still scan them once per instance, though some voicelines are broken in the Tower. A good example is in the H.E.L.M., towards the observation area and along your right side will be a scannable object with no voiceline, though this one was likely because of the object being a reused asset. As I understand it, objects made within the Tiger Engine are typically repurposed often, going all the way back to Halo 1, there is a rock that is resized and rotated multiple times along one of the beaches, probably the most infamous example. The "tech" ones which look nice and flashy are often used around machinery for flair. There is even a fancy duct in the Duality dungeon during the first boss encounter, in the top left room that also is scannable. Most likely it used to be an asset that had a scannable node on it which is just out of reach and giving that ping from your Ghost each time you pass by.
