Refresh my memory….
How much did we pay for this special event??
English
-
Every DLC.
-
Nope. You got the expansions you paid for.
-
Lmao... what I paid for was a game experience, not a "grind a zone with minimal spawning for 5-6 hours and call it content" experience.
-
Then don’t play the grind zone…
-
The paid content is just as bad, don't worry.
-
Almost ten years of non-stop complaining about that too. Dont worry. They won’t do anything more than complain…
-
I mean if paying for cutscenes over gameplay is your schtick, all the power to you.
-
If you don’t think it’s a good deal vote either way your wallet and your feet.
-
Refresh my memory... How much did we pay over the years that they were able to celebrate now? A bit more effort to make this event fun would just show some appreciation for the players that play their game.
-
You got what you paid for. You don’t get to complain about the complimentary snacks because you paid for a meal two months ago.
-
Except these events should show their appreciation for our continued support otherwise they could have closed doors long ago. Btw this "celebration" is behind a paywall like the last one just not as obvious as before. No other gaming company comes to mind that handles stuff like this so badly.
-
Ubisoft. EA. Rockstar. Digital Extremes. Gearbox. Need I go on?
-
Digital Extremes? You're just pulling names when DE does things miles better than bungie
-
No. Warframe is a blatantly pay-to-progress game. People just fail to see it because they aren’t used to thinking that their time has value…and they don’t see what players who don’t have endless amounts of time can wind up paying. Bungie just charges everyone individually rather than hiding the costs by spreading them out over the entire player base. (Someone paying your tab doesn’t make the lunch free…only that someone else got stuck with the bill)
-
You have the audacity to say people aren't used to thinking that their time has value when destiny doesn't value your time at all? Laughable And blatantly pay to progress? Explain all my gears I obtained for $0 and destiny is blatantly pay to progress when so many stuffs locked behind paywall compared to Warframe being optional

Edited by TheArtist: 9/12/2024 10:06:24 AMWarframe’s grind makes Destiny’s grind look like child’s play. DE shamelessly sells power, and the game is designed to make that grind so painful and time consuming that you are incentivized to try your buy your way around it. That’s how DE makes their money. By squeezing players who do not have endless amounts of time to play the game…then using “free” players to keep the game populated for those who are actually bankrolling it. DE is just very skilled at hiding the fingerprints of it, and making what is a crafting game feel like a loot game. Bungie is just more transparent as to what the business model is.
Warframe’s grind makes Destiny’s grind look like child’s play.
One time grind with safety net where you get currency to buy it if you don't get it to drop makes RNG grinding with no guarantee look like child's play? Grind in Warframe is clearer with visible goal than destiny where you go through thousands of drops for that one perk combination
DE shamelessly sells power
Do I need to remind you about stasis, strand, prismatic and exotics dominating both PvE and PvP behind paywall?
and the game is designed to make that grind so painful and time consuming that you are incentivized to try your buy your way around it.
You have a clear view where the finish line of your grind is in Warframe compared to destiny and you don't spend twenty minutes per mission just to get no drop. Grind in newer content is so easy where you have a chance for a drop and tokens to redeem the missing part
DE is just very skilled at hiding the fingerprints of it, and making what is a crafting game feel like a loot game
They make Warframe being an actual free to play compared to destiny being a demo but pretends to be f2p
Bungie is just more transparent as to what the business model is.
With separating content into separate purchases, claiming f2p when it's a demo, charging money for recycled content and taking away content with dcv? They're just greedy while lying as their business model

Warframe is a bottomless time sink…by design. It never ceases to amaze me how DE gets away with it.
-
Bottomless time sink? I don't need to grind for another gear with the same name just because the power cap got up again and I have to find a new one to use or as infusion material, I have safety nets in case I don't get the last part to drop and my gears from years ago are still relevant without any need for infusion. Destiny? Go through thousands of possible combinations for that one drop, grind again when the power goes up so you have infusion material if you want to keep using the old gear and no safety net until they copied Warframe crafting. Now you have to battle the RNG just to make progress, desperately trying to get that play time with mindless grind of bottomless time sink
-
Because Warframe is a crafting game dresses up to look like a loot game. …and the Destiny grind is basic unless you are trying to get “perfect” rolls. Which is a huge time sink in any loot game. Which is why few people do it. Destiny never asks you to grind for something…then holds it hostage for three days trying to ransom it back to you.
-
Three days is nothing compared to four weeks for a single red border and with focusing removed there's no guarantee to get it in that time anymore
-
Haven’t played recently?
-

-
Funnily enough, 30 bucks got a campaign, raid, and dungeon, 50 now and i get no dungeon. Less than even accountint for inflation

Edited by TheArtist: 9/11/2024 2:11:58 AMDid you make the deal? (That is, buy the expansion?) Then my point stands. If you think it is a bad deal, then walk away from it. Vote with your wallet and your feet. If you think Destiny is expensive to play, stay away from World of Warcraft.
