I like how the player base has paid them millions and this is how they show their appreciation 🤣
You can't pay for this kind of entertainment 😁
Edit: Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but if people didn't buy TFS they don't get to celebrate the 10th anniversary?
If this is true, this is really close to the most scummy thing any developer has ever done for an anniversary. What makes it worse is the ones defending it saying "It's a free event". Not even DE with Waframe is as scummy as this business has become.
Hey, come "celebrate our 10th anniversary, a free event" to where we should be showing you our appreciation for supporting us all these years, but we want everyone for a second time to pay us". Oh, and don't forget to buy the dungeon to where we set icebreaker as bait that will not be as its former self and we will most likely have a set date to nerf it.
Happy anniversary!

Actually it’s worse. You need the annual pass to enjoy the 10th anniversary to its fullest. The ice breaker is the next dungeon exotic

I was waiting to see how things played out when TFS released, to see if it was worth playing, and as expected things have only got worse. I won't give this business anymore money, they don't deserve it.

They are only reinforcing that this is gonna be my last year.

Bungie is literally a kid on Father’s Day giving us (dad) a hand made gift from school and being proud of it “look dad I made you this for Father’s Day” and it’s a mug made from clay and painted, sure we will cherish it but at the end of the day it’s a -blam!- gift
-
Lol. Hey, if it had some emotional value, I would’ve taken it. Like I said, we don’t need to be showered in free -blam!-. But this feels more like going through the motions than celebrating. Like, make a little quest out of collecting the stashes. Add a bit of dialogue and nostalgia. Sound clips from the game over the years or something. Anything more than: here’s some armor and an emblem. Now go grind.

It’s a shame. The potential this game has is insane. But seeing it (and its fans) treated as an afterthought…yeesh

Oh the delivery of the 10 year anniversary event was terrible, if it wasn’t for tik tok I wouldn’t even know it was happening and it was not captivating at all… here’s some armour from year one, I’ll be honest in saying I’ve never seen that armour before and why was the engram farming put in the sky watch? The loot cave that doesn’t exist anymore? One of the first destinations we visited? Extremely underwhelming addition to the game
