The main issue with the proposal to make a Sword-focused Exotic available for Hunters and Warlocks is that it would immediately invite further requests for Class parity among the weapon-synergy Exotics.
No sense in stopping at a Stronghold-like Exotic for non-Titans when I’m sure there are:
• Hunters and Warlocks who’d like access to Actium War Rig (ARs) and Hazardous Propulsion (GLs)
• Titans and Warlocks who wouldn’t mind getting to play with Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves (Sidearms), Oathkeeper (Bows), Triton Vice (Glaives) and Lucky Pants (HCs)
• Hunters and Titans itching to get their grubby mitts on Cenotaph Mask (Trace Rifles), Necrotic Grips (Weapons of Sorrow) and Rain of Fire (Fusions, LFRs, Vex Mythoclast)

Necro grips on Hunter woulda been SOOOO sweet a few seasons ago. Too bad Bungo kinda killed Striga 🫤

Yeah, but… c’mon, they’re swords. They’re literally MADE to be class-specific frames. Example, the big three.

Edited by Algamus: 8/23/2024 10:57:42 PMYes, you're right that this would indeed lead to requests for class parity. Titan's : Actium War Rig (Auto Rifles-Machine Guns), Peacekeepers (Submachine Guns), No Backup Plans (Shotguns), and Hazardous Propulsion (Rocket Launchers, Rocket-Assisted Sidearms, Nanotech Tracer Rockets origin perk weapons). would be desired by Hunters and Warlocks. Hunter's : Lucky Pants (Hand Cannons), Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves (Sidearms), and Oathkeeper (Bows). would be desired by Titans and Warlocks. Warlock's : Rain of Fire (Fusion Rifles-Linear Fusion Rifles) and Cenotaph Mask (Trace Rifles). would be desired by Hunters and Titans. However, the weapons that these Exotics synergize with do not possess melee characteristics like Swords and Glaives. And the unwritten rule about Glaives has already been broken. Yes, Hunters can synergize with Triton Vice for Glaive (both in melee and weapon damage). But Titans also synergize with Wormgod Caress for Glaive (both in melee and weapon damage). Additionally, Titans can synergize with Glaives' melee attacks through Synthoceps.(I haven't had the chance to test the new class Exotic armor’s Spirit of Synthoceps with Glaives yet.) Finally, The Banner of War aspect is the only aspect among all that synergizes with weapon. if class parity requests are this challenging, then perhaps a sword-synergy aspect could be introduced for both Hunters and Warlocks.
