Prismatic Hunter Trials has been pretty interesting. Not the biggest trials player in the world but seeing as how I usually use solar in that mode its been refreshing to actually have abilities. The clones and the radar can get ridiculous and I can see how people might get tired of that after a while. Sometimes I think enemy traps should just be a dot on the radar. Especially since the clones made me lose a match that I definitely should have won and sent me into endless matchmaking purgatory.
Game was laughing at me and saying "now try to say that wasn't all your fault."

It's too strong now, but I look forward to seeing how the nerf will shake things up

It can’t be a pseudo barricade/ aim fibb/ proximity mine/ melee refresh/ with inherent regen(slowing targets blah blah blah). When you start adding the class item for double dodge and wormhusk/ophidian it makes you wonder how long they actually spent on balance discussions if at all.

Targets nerfs are warranted. I also feel clones do too much. But they are substantially reducing the damage on explosion and barricade brings you to 1hp if touched. That reticle friction wont be as strong or even start as soon as it's made now. As far as the other things, prismatic go burr? Melee refresh is Hunter. And you have to be close to the target, it's not just any dodge and it has a longer cool down. Slow target is with the right aspect, and again, requires close proximity. Again, everyone's prismatic seems spicy. Now yes, cloaks giving multiple clones or healing with the other effects are strong. Undoubtedly. I want to see the performance of other classes in the lobbies with their builds. They may not be as popular cause it's not the same level of cheese, but they hold their own in that environment. What fills the power vacuum if there's a bunch of nerfs and buffs at the same time?

I can understand that. I can also see how some people might find it tiring to always be dealing with it. Even though I'm not the biggest build crafter in the world I've never really had a huge problem dealing with the abilities as long as the movement and damage related things are consistent. Which is pretty rare for me.

And Hunters needed it cause of how stats are distributed, but now it's so common.

Edited by A_mo: 8/4/2024 11:15:08 PMI don't think its all that bad but eventually the other subclasses are probably going to have to get something to make them relevant again. And when that happens it will probably end up about as strong as a balloon. Maybe when it blows up confetti can come out of it.
