Not sure what you are talking about with that quote nor the “its always been this way” as I dont recall seeing that in any patch notes. If this is a mechanic in the basic vanguard ops playlist, it is new this season. I can tell you for a fact that the heist battlegrounds did not have champions in that playlist in Season of the Wish. The defiant battlegrounds just got added. I am not referring to Nightfalls or anything outside of the “Vanguard Ops PVE Playlist” there is no mention of any champions in the modifiers or description. So either this is a new system or a bug.

Meaning every time you get a battleground in the vanguard ops, champions will appear. The reason description and modifiers doesn't show it is mostly because the vanguard ops has been exclusively a strike playlist from it first arrived and all the way til they put battlegrounds into it. Heist battlegrounds did not have champions, but these aren't heist battlegrounds either.

I’m sorry dude but you literally don’t know what you are talking about. In the battle grounds playlist in their respective seasons they absolutely did have champions in that playlist. You linked a destinypedia article which is not fact and should not be taken as such ever. I am telling you that the regular VANGUARD OPS playlist DID NOT have champions in it EVER last season, or any of the seasons before that. This is a NEW thing that is happening. You must not have been playing destiny for the last couple years if you are going to keep saying that there was champions in the basic vanguard ops playlist. I have played more strikes than I can count in the last several years while leveling characters and goofing around with builds. I would remember if there were champions in this playlist. So respectfully stop commenting on my post because you are being the opposite of helpful for solving a potential issue.

Dude.. no matter what source I give you, you are going to claim it's false and not true because you think it isn't like that. It's been like that since before 18th of December, 2023 so it's nothing new that champions spawn in battleground mission from the vanguard playlist as long as it's a battleground (Season of the Chosen) and not a heist battleground (Season of the Seraph) Believe what you want, the facts aren't lying and destinypedia is actually a reliable source for information related to the game.
