There is a new big expansion coming out next year ,codenamed Frontiers Destiny is back in buisness,and may never end -
Destiny is over. Back in 2014, they said they had a 10 year plan for Destiny. That plan has been fulfilled with The Final Shape.

1 ReplyWe go thru the three episodes and the final episode story we eventually take command of oryxs' dreadnought (Caitl does the same with the calus' Leviathan) and we take those ships to a new solar system. Which they teased as codename frontiers. That's my theory anyway

I’ll probably get some flak for saying this, but I think there’s a strong possibility that this year could be the best year in Destiny we’ve ever seen. They’ve got so much freedom to go wherever they want story-wise, and based on the vidoc they released it seems they’re definitely taking advantage of that.

1 ReplySo bungie had a 10 year deal with Activision to create 4 games which were big expansions up until 2024 to fulfill contract requirements, now that bungie isn’t tied to that contract and it is coming to a end (I’d assume they had to follow through with everything for Activision even after they split for legal reasons) I’d assume they are free to do whatever they like, so in hindsight they could end destiny here because they own the rights to it or they can continue to create content which I think they will until marathon releases

4 RepliesWe get the other 2 episodes and bungie had said they will reveal what's next for Destiny in 2025 I'm assuming before the last episode ends. Whether that's a fully new game or another large expansion will have to wait until next yolear to find out.
