There are ways to play Strikes and other matchmade content solo.
Google will tell you how😉

I used to bust matchmaking a lot way back in Forsaken days. Mucking around in strikes getting out of map or finding cheese spots. Was a lot of fun. And some strikes solo can be really fun if the modifiers fall right. Cheesing the Arms Dealer in the bubble with Grenadier was particularly satisfying 😁

Yeah, I loved doing this kinda stuff too. It's a great way to learn new maps and enemy movement patterns. Can be really helpful when it comes to playing harder content like GM's.

I understand that. I'm saying making it an option IN game and allowing each strike a difficulty setting... at least up to master(so it won't mess up the conqueror title set). Like, I would love to play the "Inverted Spire" strike solo and on master right now to test my favorite build for this season on the boss

I agree 100%, it should be an option. I would also like to do this without having to resort to third party tactics. But with that being said, you can do it if you really want to, it's just not ideal or technically allowed. My thought is Bungo don't want people playing this content solo because it's somehow antisocial and counter productive to their bottom line, it could also cause problems for the game itself somehow as it was never designed with this function in mind. Hopefully, if there's ever a D3 these kinda changes will be implemented.
