Sure. At least until the PvP players ruin it by complaining how OP it is and strongarm Bungie into nerfing it.

Perhaps they could circumvent that by making it so you can't equip it or the class items in the competitive game modes.

This goes against some of their original principles of being able to immediately identify what's coming at you, unless Prismatic has presets. Exotics, Class Armor, Subclass behavior are designed so you can know a builds strengths and weaknesses at a glance. This is breaking that Destiny rule. I am prepared to deal with what ever they decide. But yes, some of the community will undoubtedly complain.

One of the developers said in the trailer, that we want to feel a little broken, I don't buy that at all, for so many years you keep on nerfing gear and it never stops. I bet this new way subclass is to end destiny 2
