The only knife that can 1 shot a player is Weighted with a headshot, and if max shields don't go down 100 when HP goes up to 100, you won't be able to 1 shot anymore. Maybe with an exotic, but honestly, this is a skill issue. Knife spam is no more broken than hammer spam.

I’m talking about the exotic that lets them bounce off walls which is bs
-
They can bounce off walls intrinsically. The exotic lets them bounce twice, which, already if a single ricochet hits, they deserve the kill, but a second ricochet? They deserve the W.
-
The exotic makes it so the knife gets tracking after it bounces off of 2 surfaces. So, in order to get the body shot kills behind walls, you have to rack up several precision hits with your weapon to buff the knife, then aim to deliberately make your knife hit 2 surfaces. It's not terribly hard, but I think a lot of folks are under the impression that the exotic simply let's you, at a whim, throw your knife behind cover for an auto kill. There are prerequisites for it to work, and you do have to execute it a particular way.
-
The exotic also over charges the damage so a body shot knife will 1 tap
-
Only from rapid precision hits, which, if you manage to wipe a fireteam like that, you deserve the W.
-
Not exactly difficult to land rapid precision hits with a AR or pulse
-
Oh, so it isn't knife precision hits? That -blam!-'s broken.
-
Nah any gun landing rapid precision hits charges the knife & you blindly throw it in a corridor for a free kill
-
Yeah I do it with a messenger. And while you can blindly throw it and get a kill that's hardly a really effective way of using it. Gaging angles is pretty essential to use it with any reliably. And if a person keeps moving the knife often misses as it only get the one tracking trajectory. And the map needs to have geometry that accommodates it to some extent. For example, it's far less effective on maps like cauldron ,eternity and midtown. There are a few other tricks with it I bet ppl aren't doing that'd make it even more effective that I've been doing. Speaking from recent experience of using it for 4 flawlesses in jav.

It's not exactly 'blind.' The knife only gets tracking after it hits 2 surfaces. So you have to aim it in such a way so that it'll get a floor/wall, or ceiling/wall combo first. I'm not saying it's terribly hard, but you don't just throw your knife in the room like it's a flash bang. An easy method is to just aim your weapon's reticle where you want the knife to hit(ideally a floor right in front of a wall,) then throw.
-
It also grants extra D1 truth-esqe tracking.
-
Not really. It redirects once after the second bounce in a strait line to a target. If the target moves eniugh after the second bounce it'll miss.
-
Idk, I’ve seen some crazy boomerang clips.
-
I think what you might be referring to is when knives are thrown and miss their target and come back after looping in the air, but that's not arthrys, that's been a thing for a while and is just some really weird knife tracking.
-
It's weird because sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. It was actually confirmed, though in a mythbusting video.

Edited by Zodleon: 4/6/2024 4:56:33 AMOh I know they can do it. I've done it personally, you kinda have to miss the target with upward slant, yeah its weird. It's not really usually effective in pvp outside of some jank golden gun shenanigans in mayhem, i think, and it's definitely not an arthrys thing unless theres another version of it i know nothing about. It is pretty funny to watch though

It is, but that is just broken.
