Hey there. If it is letting you enter a new name in a text field, then you do have a name change available. If it is not accepting the new name, then unfortunately (for whatever reason) it is tripping the name filter. There's no feedback to tell you this, it just won't go through. It just doesn't save the change. Edit: Also the system is currently mostly down for maintenance, so maybe try later after the maintenance period is over. Could be due to that.

Hey so I'm trying the name change again and I'm using inspect element to see if anything is off. I feel sure that my name that I want should be fine by code of conduct (I want to change to "A Bottle Of Vex Milk"). Whenever I try to save it says "The field "displayName" has an invalid value in it." Doesn't explain why or what. Do you have any insight on this, is it me or a common problem? As far as I can tell, the system being down isn't a problem right now.

  • hi EckyThump! i've been letting people know that if they're using firefox or chrome, they should try edge or another browser - i haven't been able to click 'save' on my profile settings page until i did this. i've already had a few replies saying that it's worked and they were able to change their name after doing this, so it's worth a suggestion! just another avenue to get people to try before they give up on it.
