Oh yes, now I remember. It was a Battle.net account. Even found the mails from my orders. Anyway, is this good or bad news? Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it's long since passed to pull your battle.net characters and licences to Steam. Users were emailed several times to transfer everything over so you'd need to start again in Steam I'm afraid. Keep in mind your licences that unlocked that content won't matter now since the game has gone free to play and most of that content was sent to the Destiny Content Vault. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049202971-Destiny-Content-Vault Please also see the link ishikusui posted for more info.
