If only Bungie devs could think and plan ahead like the people who play their game. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
People will use thorn in overwhelming numbers, people will get annoyed, whine for nerfs, thorn gets nerfed, people whine that it’s not enough, hand cannons get nerfed.
Just predicted the next 4 months.

well its striga. So poison will b bad in pve and than they will lower thorns base dmg in pvp (and therefor in pve also) just because some "amazing streamers" will complain and it will kill thorn. But it will be nice weapon for short time!

I wanted a catalyst that provided a bump to range and stability to make it comparable to modern 140s We received a massive boost in addition to overflow. If anything, it seems like a multistage plan to use the casual mob to kill HC and make the game a shell of it's previous potential.
