Just remove bows from PvP. Seriously.
All these crazy suggestions like “make bows use special ammo” or “make bows 3 tap”, both of these would make them completely useless [i]anyway[/i].
They will never be able to balance a primary weapon like this.
So just ban it.
Edit- so it’s clear, I don’t give a -blam!- about bows personally. But this is the best option lol

Just remove wall hack with wishender bow problem fixed ,no weapon should let you see through walls in pvp only abilities since they have a cooldown

Use a pulse rifle, if you miss or push you are dead, if he misses the shot then he is dead, its a 50/50.

Honestly, the best solution is to make a permanent mode that uses nothing but weapons, and maybe 1 grenade and 1 super. That's the only way to make the most happy. But it'll never happen because bungie doesn't want to divide the players. I personally love the whole ability aspect of the game. I wish there was more of it personally I know your talking about bows, I'm just stating there's always something that someone wants removed from pvp. It's either abilities, supers, and now we going after bows.

4 RepliesIf bows are STATISTICALLY a problem, then Bungie will almost certainly nerf them. Bungie has stated that they take community feedback into account when deciding what to nerf and buff, so bows could end up on the chopping block regardless of whether or not they *actually* deserve it. Personally, I think bows are probably fine. They're more commonly used in Trials this season than in past seasons, but I've rarely run into them in Comp. If they were truly "OP," then I would expect to see them a lot more in Comp, especially against good teams. Regardless, Bungie is never going to remove a weapon type from the game, and that's actually a horrible solution

Bungie could nerf bows, but they as a whole are only one buff/nerf away from being the best/worst PvP archetype in the game. Kinda hard to balance them as a whole except for outliers like LeMon and Wish Ender. 😐 Also, they aren’t the instant win button people think they are. They have at least a 1s draw time that either leaves you vulnerable to being shot at or gives the enemy time to back out of the fight into cover. (The latter can be VERY annoying, trust me.) My view is that bows are just the flavor of the month rn due to people either trying out the new nightfall bow this season in PvP, trying to complete that seasonal challenge that requires them to kill other players with bows (and other specific weapons), or trying to do both scenarios at the same time. I can see why you don’t like this “meta shift” happening, but just wait til next season and people probably won’t use them anymore. 🤷🏿♂️

The PvP does not know any better. They cannot bring balance or health to the mode. Nothing but cheese lol.

I can guarantee that almost everyone that vehemently complains about Bows in PvP is using Igneous Hammer right now, sees it as a completely balanced weapon and has probably been using Hand Cannon + Shotgun for the last 5 years straight.
