While I sympathize with the OP and everyone else who has suffered this abhorrent treatment in a video game, I think Bungie have played a small part in this and should do a lot more to combat the problem. They created this wonderful utopia where guardians from all over the planet fight together against all evils of the universe, and get rewarded with all sorts of amazing loot for their combined efforts. But just like the blinkered, left wing politicians of our own world, they never see the problems that it creates, and never really works in the long run. We are not guardians, we are humans, and just like in real life, there are many wonderful players out there, but also nasty, greedy, selfish ones. The best loot has always come from end content, and end content has always been team orientated. Maybe if Bungie would have given more accessability for solo players to get top loot instead of forcing people into teams of strangers, this abuse would be a lot less frequent. Not everyone can, or wants to be, part of a clan or fireteam. I find it ironic too, that while the abusers are allowed to carry on as normal, any victim who tries to warn other decent players by naming and shaming, is punished. As commented in other posts, all you can do is send in a report and hope that justice is done.
