You really shouldn't have much accuracy while moving up and down like that. Would someone doing that in real life have more accuracy than someone else that was standing there?
Would someone doing that in real life have more accuracy than someone else that was standing there?
This is a space magic game, not real life. It's accessible to everyone. It's really simple to make crouch R3. Not everyone is cheating , especially on console.

Its not that big of a deal if people want to do it. I just think its silly some of the things that people will say are skill. Especially when they say its easy and anyone can do it but its also skill. Also reverberating up and down while you're shooting is still unnecessary in a space magic game. Its not an ability.

Its not an ability.
Anyone can do it, not everyone can do it as effectively thus the skill gap. I can’t believe you actually need that explained to you. The largest skill gap in this game is movement, aiming, and positioning. Just because everyone is capable of doing something doesn’t mean they achieve it as effectively or efficiently. Use some critical thinking.
-
I just don't understand why you think that you have that much to teach. I know what everyone says about movement and positioning. And tbh, that's really one of those things where if you were going to win you would have won without doing it the vast majority of the time. I simply don't think its as impressive as some people do I guess.
-
I shouldn’t need to teach you this. What I am saying should be common sense. You are just dense. I can spell it out for you if you want. If two players of equal skill in aim are in a fight and one is moving making their character more difficult to hit and one is standing still the one moving is going to win the gunfight…If you are mentally challenged I’m certified to teach you baseball though.
-
Its a lot easier to move your hands than it is to squat up and down over and over. It just doesn't make any sense. If you squat up and down in front of someone they are more than likely going to shoot you easier than you shoot them. Also, I do not want to learn baseball.
-
Do you want me to elaborate on why you are incorrect,or do we just accept that neither of our stances are going to change? I’m happy to continue explaining how the movement is more beneficial for you. I just think you don’t care to be wrong or think objectively.
-
No you can stop now, you're not that special. People post the same thing on here all day.
-
Edited by Manic: 9/12/2023 11:48:03 PMI never claimed to be special. It’s too bad you are so obtuse. Let me know if you ever want me to teach you baseball.
-
Only if you promise to reverberate up and down when you throw the ball.
-
I also do it when I’m at bat, gotta keep them guessing the strike zone.
-
Cause the person standing there is a potato who is literally using zero evasive maneuvers while the other person is making themselves a harder target to hit.
-
A lot of the time the other person's computer is making them a lot harder to hit. Its also not that big of a deal but its just another one of those things where people are relying on the game or the way it works to do things for them. Its just that good players say its a good thing so it must be a good thing.
-
When was the last time you murdered miliions of aliens?
-
I was in Altars of Sorrow yesterday?
-
I didn’t realize we had guardians in real life. Guess when people die a ghost can bring them back. Can we jump 30 meters with ease in real life? Ffs go play a realistic shooter if you want it to be realistic.
-
Its not the fact that its real or not its the fact that it makes zero physical sense in the game or in real life. It just makes no sense because the person doing it is still getting shot in the face, particularly by burst weapons, but it doesn't work like its supposed to.
-
Nothing in the game makes any physical sense. Bullets bend to targets. Might as well remove all aim assist while we are at it. Why not rename the game as well.
-
There's plenty in the game that makes consistent physical sense in the World oh Destiny. And there's some things that don't. I wouldn't be against bullets going straighter for most weapons. Bouncing up and down because you've programed your PC to do it for you or you have some other thing you're doing is just lame. Also, the people are getting shot in the face and its not counting so that's what I mean by it doesn't make any physical sense. They are getting shot and its not counting.
-
The thing is, the bullet bending, movement, accuracy and all around gunfeel in this game is what makes it feel rewarding and unlike any game out there. AE and the sliding nerfs And whatever change you want for crouch spamming fundamentally change how smooth the game feels to play. No movement should have any sort of effect on gunplay if you can aim at them and move while shooting you should be rewarded. Anything else alienates the fluidity of the gameplay. Movement adds skill gap even crouch spamming, anyone can do it, not everyone is successful at it. You don’t need scripts or 3rd party devices you just have to change your controller bindings with in game settings.
-
You're jittering up and down, and a lot of the time its due to the PC doing it and not the player. So I'm unsure of how that qualifies as smooth gameplay. Its really not that big of a deal, it can stay in the game for all I care, but people defending it as skill and fluidity is silliness imho.
-
It’s not pc when I do it. It’s extra inputs to my controller that I manually make while aiming. How do you not understand it’s a skill gap to hit shots while hitting extra buttons and tracing… it’s silly to me that you don’t understand more inputs requiring more skill.
-
Because this game has aim assist that you get and you mess up when you do it and its backwards from the way it should be.
-
You should be rewarded for attempting to make your character more difficult to hit. If you are making more inputs to your controller while aiming and shooting you should be rewarded not penalized. You want everyone to stand still when they shoot? What a boring way to play.
-
No I want the movement to be fast and consistent. And for things that make the game inconsistent to be reduced. That's another one of those things in this game in terms of gameplay that doesn't work the same for everyone.
