Yeah, but it was horrible. D2 is significantly easier to get the gun You really think grinding for planetary materials is better than doing a raid a couple times?

Like most of the player base…. Because the drop rate for the crux was ridiculously low. “Conversation over” typical response from someone who has no idea what he’s talking about

Edited by WinterSolstice: 9/12/2023 1:37:10 AMA lot of people forget D1 year 1 exists and a lot didn't play Crota end year 1 since it was arguably the second worst time to play Destiny (Only D2 year 1 was was worse but only by a small amount) so most people played year 3 and in year 3 it was swapped over to guaranteed quest drop rather than a random rng drop.

Necrochasm is by far the worst exotic quest to use if you're gonna pretend D1 was better, my guy.

We gonna ignore the exotic sword quests? I spent a whole week getting planetary materials just for one sword and don’t get me started on when I got the void one for my titan. Needed like 1000 void ability kills and titans only had like the grenade to get them at the time.

In the D2 version, everyone is guaranteed to get it eventually & has guaranteed paths to get it sooner. There's not enough plastic in the world to make a rose tint thick enough to pretend D1's version was better.
