No it's not. They have made money hand over fist with this game. They only listen to engagement. If you don't engage, they will change. Sorry man but I really disagree with you on this one.

You’re right but only because engagement translates to money, sure they’ve made a lot of money but Bungie has a very high burn rate (how fast the spend or loss the money they have) that’s why Microsoft didn’t buy Bungie, you can research it if you like but is true, if the community cuts the income Bungie is protecting to get from preorders trust me, it will be a very loud and scary alarm on their bank account, the high burn rate is because a live service game like destiny is expensive but also they are developing 2 other IPs Matter and Marathon, and as we know Bungie has always been terrible at administrating their projects and this comes from the halo years, let’s try this it won’t hurt the game more than it already is.

They have the tools to make great live service games but their vision is severely lacking and it doesn't bode well for Marathon. I think they are hoping this blows over and dies down by the time it's ready to introduce Marathon gameplay. edit - I wonder what Sony thinks of all this, if they even care.
