I've never considered seasonal activities such as the EAZ to be cannon or to be taken seriously. They're just meant to be a fun activity to break up the monotony. After all, in about 2-3 months we're most likely going to have haunted lost sectors again fighting giant pumpkin head wearing enemies. Probably best to not worry about the lore of how that's possible. :)

At least the dialogue interactions are entertaining, had a good time listening to Saint and Saladin fight over us this Solstice. Was and little sad the Guardian Games Crucible event wasn't cohosted by Shaxx and Saint-14. Makes me almost want a Dreaming City instance for the FotL if only to listen to Petra prattle on about 'how the Headless Ones aren't real' and that she has 'no time for will'o the wisps nor fairy-tales'. Only for her to then immediately eat her own words, whilst Glint teases her ceaselessly.
