Public Events are RUINING my Fishing Time
Everytime a Public Event Starts in the area where you can fish, the fishing area disappears and doesn't come back immediately. Most of the time, I have to go to transmat to the Tower, come back and try to get an instance where it's available. Please, Bungie, I beg of you, let me fish in peace!!!

I just wish the public event wouldn't reset the fishing focus bar

5 RepliesWhy not just spend two seconds to nuke the pe most can be done relatively quickly there’s a few that take a while though, the edz servitor one takes like 30 secs max and you get some bait from it.

1 ReplyEdited by OldTrafford Fan: 5/27/2023 4:49:02 AMIt is by design. If it didn't despawn, the Focused Fishing buff would always be at max. But, since it's the PE starting that initiates the despawn, the focus is back at zero when it spawns again.. ✌

Honestly it's stupid why put in public events areas majority of the time you can't get focus fishing maxed out due to public events ruining them out of all places on these map I rather do it solo in a solo queue area then constantly being ruined by events

I’m guessing that bungie “coded” fishing essentially as a public event, so it can’t coexist with the other ones. Just my theory.

1 ReplyThe public event should take place around the fishing spot. You shouldn’t take damage while fishing, unless you stop and engage in the event.

1 ReplyI'm seeing this comment everywhere not understanding why ppl don't get that its a timer. It's been designed to despawn so it's obviously what they intended. Use lfg to get a group its easy no mic needed

The issue I have is it takes forever with only 3 maybe 4 others to get the focus to max then a couple minutes of fishing with it at max and then boom bye-bye - go run PE then come back and start all over. Then there's the one on Nessus - Don't follow your tracker!!!
