Personally I think Bungie and the devs have lost the -blam!- plot. Imagine the time and resources that were put into this fishing crap that could have been better spent on…….I don’t know Sparrow racing!
The amount of times I’ve seen players ask for the return of sparrow racing on these forums and reddit and they give us fishing….. -blam!- fishing!

SRL can come back in December, like how it was released.

Just look at all the time they spend nerfing and buffing different things every week and imagine if those man-hours were spent on creating content.

No one was asking for Sparrow Racing when it first released. Give Bungie some creative space.

I think that it's more likely fishing didn't cost a lot of time and resources. Which is why it was able to be added. I understand that SRL is highly requested but acting like the fishing minigame is anywhere near the same undertaking as implementing Sparrow Racing League is kind of silly.

I don’t know about silly, they had to totally design something from the ground up for fishing. SRL half the stuff is already in the game . Sparrow are in the game, half the tracks could be pulled from story missions, patrol area’s etc . I don’t know anything about game development so I can’t argue about time to implement but I do know SRL has been massively requested for years now and they keep giving us crap that next to no one has asked for

The animation for fishing is the equivalent to an emote. you press e at the right time and you get a random item that you can turn in for a reward. The complexity of that system is very low compared to a 6 person competitive racing activity that might require specific maps to be designated specifically for SRL. Also fishing just utilizes the patrol spaces. It doesn't require any additional infrastructure to support that activity. Destiny 2 uses peer to peer and dedicated servers new activities/separate activities mean that hardware has to be either drum up to support it or taken from somewhere else. So yeah it is a bit silly to act like they are on the same level. Wanting Sparrow Racing League in the game is fine, I know I'd love to play it! It's also very silly to get so frustrated and act like the fishing minigame is the reason it hasn't been added yet.
