I don't think they are talking darkness checkpoints, pretty sure they means checkpoints like in dungeons, legendary campaign missions and raids where you can stop at a certain points and do something else and come back later. It is definitely long enough that it should have some, and while regular isn't that challenging, legendary can be frustrating where you might want to take a break and come back later. Also, getting weaseled or anteatered out to orbit when your in the middle of brakion is pretty obnoxious.

avalon can be done in 15 tho. They nerfed legendary hp by 33% in a group so now it's lol too

No disrespect but I need you to show your work. A video of you completing in 15 would be acceptable. The fastest solo legendary I've seen is at a lil over 21mins, and honestly speedruns should by no means be considered the baseline. That would be silly. Logically there is no reason why they couldn't couldn't implement a checkpoint system similar to dungeons and raids, its not like it makes it easier, its just sometimes we have dogs that need to be walked or messages to answer or getting weaseled at Brakion.

No disrespect but don't actually care if someone i don't know believes me. But the 15 was solo on reg my bad on not being clearer yes leg was 20-30 but it was before bungie dropped their hp by 33%
