Not quite all. Warlock also needs it's OHK Melee back. Still the only Class without a OHK melee. (And, no, the Arc slide-melee isn't even close to be OHK).

After the addition of Void Overshield damage reduction, Hunters don't have one either. I mean, it's super situational, but it's still a skillshot ohko and to have it countered by a class ability that's tied to the strongest stat in the game is a bit frustrating.
-
But it still has one. I mean Hunter unfairly lost Powerful Friends but overall it was a massive, massive win in the reworks. PvE it now has the best damage and roaming Super in the game. Not that eg Blade Barrage didn't need it but... In PvP it gained so much. Complete unfair advantage in proccing Radiant, any time, any place, on the move, no requirements. And it gave nothing of note from Void. Still the only PvP Invis, the only ability Wall-hacks, the only one with radar manipulation, all whilst taking for free eg Devour from Warlock...in addition It did VERY well out of the trade. Warlock did VERY badly out of its.

Edited by The Bored Chairman: 4/2/2023 2:35:19 PMNo question that Hunters got a lot and that Warlocks didn't. But that should really speak to how powerful Warlocks were prior to 3.0 That's the thing about shifting metas: Someone's going to be stronger at some point than someone else. The only thing I'd argue that truly needs a nerf is Titan Overshields. A free health bar for your team (regenerating if you stick by the Barricade) is extremely powerful (anything that increases the amount time required to kill you will be). Invis is annoying, for sure. I absolutely do not deny this. But you can learn to play against it. The Hunter is totally helpless while invis. They cannot shoot at you without losing it. If you spot them, you have the advantage. Meanwhile, you CANNOT play around Overshields. There is no counterplay to extra health. You just have to deal with it.
-
I think they were powerful before but crushing them and dismantling the best parts and distributing them to the others - especially notable on Arc - wasn't the answer. It leaves it unbalanced and also it was incredibly boring to get triple lots of no-fun nothing in the reworks with hefty removals and nerfs. Both Invis - dammut especially a x3 Invis ! - is just stupid. Whilst we have instant OHK weapons like Shotguns, near constant Incis in PvP is just game-breaking. But overshields too. I think they just ran out of Titan ideas.

Warlock can also proc radiant anywhere at any point on a map. Everyone always forgets about empower rift.
-
Empowering Rift ≠ Radiant
-
Indeed. Empower rift is better.
-
It's entirely different, a Subclass ability not the Class ability and comparisons were not even the point made.
-
Both are class ability. Dodge and rift. Both have the same cooldown. Rift lasts longer.
-
No that wasn't referred to at all. The Subclass ability is Radiant. The Class Ability is Rift. You're confused or deliberately miscomprehending. Radiant is not Rift. Totally different. And you've stumbled far away from the point made which abundantly stands.
-
They both grant a damage buff. But rift damage buff is higher.
-
So does KillClip and it isn't the point. Complete unfair advantage in proccing Radiant, that's the point.
-
Don't hunters have the dodge that gives radiant?
-
We do, but it has a very long cooldown timer and Radiant starts ticking down immediately. If you aren't running the extended duration fragment (meaning a Solar class with a nerf to your Recovery stat), it can wear off before you even benefit from it. Warlocks can maintain the buff for as long as their Rift lasts. Yes, you are locked in place to benefit, but it's available to every subclass. Different tools for different jobs. The Warlock Rift would be much stronger if the Handcannon meta was still around. With the SMG/Sidearm meta, roaming buffs are stronger (until someone gets Well or Bubble).

Edited by Artisan: 4/3/2023 9:52:41 AMIt can be procced every 15 seconds with the right (coolguy)build. Not sure how far the new mods will affect that but it certainly can be lowered. Empowering Rift ≠ Radiant. And you're vulnerable casting Rift - literally frozen - then you're stuck in one spot, in a fast moving, grenade spamming game. It's also it's Class ability. We didn't Radiant on demand, on the move, AND a different Class ability.
-
The radiant dodge is ALL that the dodge does pretty much
-
Not when combined with any number of exotics. But it's the easiest Radiant on demand, any time, any place, on the move, no conditions, in the game.
-
Yes.... And your point is?
-
Hunters can also provide radiant anytime at any point on the map and don't have to stay anchored in one spot to use it.
-
Same as warlocks.
-
Except you state it like it's exclusive to warlocks and it's just not.
-
I said warlocks can ALSO. So you are wrong. Also means the same as another class.
-
I see. It looks like the comments got shifted around and that made it look like you replied to a different comment which very much changed the tone of your reply.
-
Not as I said on the move which Hunter can easily do. And also uniquely without conditions of any kind.

You guys have an ohk knife that is so easy to aim and you get it back. Stop complaining.
nibbles crayon
