I don't necessarily think it's broken. I also got my mida catalyst after my first 3 crucible matches after it was unlocked from survival. But I have yet to earn the suros catalyst despite all the crucible matches I played since I started the game. The number game just sucks -blam!-.

Suros dropped for me in iron banner a couple months after I picked the gun up, hopefully you get it soon. Sunshot seems different, at least two friends of mine swear that it's bugged and doesn't ever drop the catalyst
