We should be keeping them at arms length. No reason to bring them so closely into our operations. It would be too easy to infiltrate. Could you imagine if we brought the Lucent Hive in as well and one or more of them is a double agent? How much damage they could do before we were able to stop them? Take out our entire leadership in one go. It’s already bad enough we have a ton of fallen camped out in our backyard. We are already too exposed.

For example, the Guardians have their backs against the wall and are facing defeat and then out of nowhere Lucent Hive Tombships unexpectedly show up and start dropping Executioners, helping turn the tide. If it was the Vex I could imagine a similar entrance. I wouldn't see the Lucent Hive or the Vex being part of the day to day operations aside from maybe Fynch or Savathuun or when it comes to the Vex maybe Asher Mir or Captain Jacobson or both. Being double agents I don't think would fit with their behavior. They're not subtle, they're hammers.
