So, this actually could be argued, as it gave you blue gear at a certain level point. It's doing the same here, just giving you campaign progress. Don't see what the big deal is.

Yeah it has. The light boost has always been a thing for each expansion. It just hands you gear to get you to the soft cap on your alts. Now it'll also skip the campaign.
