    • Overpenetrating targets should x2 the damage tbh. I could see myself trying to shoot at an ennemy by shooting trough another ennemy to ger bonus dmg (Like zero from borderlands 2 for the real gamers)

      Autos in general need a PvE buff. They’re completely overshadowed by SMGs. You can hit a bit farther with autos, but you could also just get a bit closer to shred them with SMGs. Compare 600 RPM autos to 600 RPM SMGs and the SMGs have like 55% more DPS. Exotic primaries have an inherent 40% buff against red bars, but that still leaves Hard Light worse than a legendary SMG.

      • Hard light was nerfed into oblivion long ago, but it really is a cool gun. I can’t remember the last time I used it though.

        • It needs its 100% PvP-caused nerfs undone since ARs are not meta anymore and haven't been for years, and maybe the Omolon Foundry Origin Trait added for extra icing on the cake. PvP crybabies won't get to ruin this gun again since their precious HC/Shotgun meta is back. Maybe even let it swap between champion stun types on the fly too.

          • Kills and sustained fire generate traces of light that rapidly seek out enemy targets. Reloading detonates all traces that explode in a beam of light energy (think smaller version of the bombs from dares of eternity). Will have varying passive benefits to abilities depending on type of light being used. Void - Volatile damage has an additional explosion Arc - Jolt has increased range Solar - Increased scorch stacks and damage

                • Yeah I gave it a fair shot in a couple dungeons when the buff came. But it's still just rough and slow to kill. I think it needs some 3.0 effects in there like a chance to attach volatile, 1x scorch per bullet, and a chance to blind in an area, in the respective elements of void, solar and arc.

                • The problem is that literally all it has is element switching. The ricochet rounds are a completely useless gimmick. It’s just an auto rifle with nothing actually going for it at the end of the day, so it’s double awful.

                  • All autos need a PvE buff. They feel so underwhelming compared to smgs in PvE in all activities (even just patrolling)

                      Impact should be 100 since it's literal light being fired but I know why that won't happen with Bungie... I make do, but I certainly wouldn't argue with a damage buff. The gun isn't viable as an option with how it is now regarding anything in the PvP department. That's why I've enjoyed using the solo op mod this season cuz muh skill ain't gud enuff. Personally, I'd like it more if the gun automatically reloaded when swapping elemental attacks. It makes a difference.

                      • Exotic primaries in genera feel really lame. They’ve done amazing making legendary LFR and Rockets viable and good exotic specials but primaries feel more pointless than ever. Revision is kinda nice because it gives you a sniper but it sucks. It’s just not a very good add clearing primary.

                          • 100% agree. When it first came out the gun was -blam!- awesome. Then the crybabies in pvp where like it's to op and it got nerfed pretty bad. Since then I stopped using it cause my legendary autorifles where doing more damage then hardlight. So hopefully it gets a little buffer so it will be viable again.
