nothing to change on witherhoard, is perfect now , if you think is oppressive in pvp is called skill issue

Just curious. What's your idea of perfect about it? Just want to understand your mindset
-
Imo it's in a near-perfect spot because it has a niche use that it does well (area denial) without being oppressive or overpowered, in other words I never feel like I have to use it or I can't compete with other people using it.
-
Well I simply can't agree on it not bring overly oppressive but that's just my experience hence the post. I'm trying to wrap my head around why people think it's in a good spot. For area denial it's really thr I ly choice IF you want to be effective. You think that's ok? What is your personal counter for it?
-
Honestly I just bait both of their shots and then they're out of special and just have a primary. If there's a zone or something that they're trying to keep me off of I wait for the puddle to disappear and just camp it to make sure they can't cap it either while I'm waiting.
-
Lol so your saying no one ever get you on a puddle? That's a little unrealistic. In my experience most people are lobbying from a distance and are not susceptible to baiting or have jumped high and lobbying from above. Again don't care about baiting. When and if they do get you in one what's your strat or is the zone a loss if you're hit?
-
I'm not sure about never dying to the puddle but in general unless I'm 1-shot or in a really bad spot I can just run, jump, or slide out of the puddle fast enough that my shields don't break.
-
I don't know, my experience is once I'm in it even if I try to gtfo the ticks still kill me unless I'm I stsntky quick to the draw
-
perfect is the wrong word my bad, witherhoard is bad inside pvp but works vs bubble , outside that is a trash gun for pvp and a very good one inside pve
-
So again this depends on who is using it and why/how. For people that want the quick "drop puddle finish with X weapon" in under 2 seconds then it becomes very effective in pvp. Even the other way around as a finisher. I don't really agree with your assessment.
-
yeah in the end thinking witherhoard need changes inside pvp is called huge skill issue
-
If you say so.
-
Perfect might be slightly strong of a word but there’s really nothing problematic about Witherhoard. If functions exactly as it’s meant to and it’s good without actually upsetting the balance of the game.

Edited by X-LoganX: 1/9/2023 7:14:52 PMAppreciate the opinion. Not sure I agree but that's ok. To me if your intent is area denial there is almost no other choice but to use that because it's so strong. I fell that not only limits the choices for effective loadouts but it's so oppressive that in lower lobbies, majority pop remember, people don't understand how to counter or avoid.
-
It’s good at what it does but it’s light years away from actually being problematic. Pointless nerfs aren’t really necessary.
-
See I feel it actually has been problematic for a while now. I understand that's my perception but I can't help what I experience. It's just horrible to fight against. It just really surprises me that so many here are content to simply deal with it. Thanks for the reply.
-
You “deal with it” the same way you deal with any weapon. It isn’t special.
-
I simply disagree from my experiences. It does something no other weapon does in its own way and is incredibly strong at it. Too strong. Thanks for the perspective though
-
Okay.
-
Not really "deal with it" as much as being able to play around it easily.
