A very simple solution on their end is something they have already done, which was the legend witch queen campaign. It capped your light level even if you were underneath it so that it was a fluent and equal challenge across the board. Why have they not performed the same fundamental idea with something like grandmasters? You are quite literally locked out of that content because of an arbitrary number.

Thats exactly what I am saying since a year now + master raids should also cap your power level to retain their combat difficulty and relevance over time.
-
Yep. It would actually get me to do them since master raids are painful because my primary raid team is a bunch of my buddies and we all have lives, we don't exactly have the time to grind out however many light levels needed to actually access the content let alone do it. GMs are slightly less annoying to actually do but still require a similar level of setup to actually begin.

If you simplify it, you can only play that if you’ve played X amount of hours into the game this season. There should be a normal, hard, and legendary mode. Simple. Light leveling is a waste of time.
-
It is. I just think that, if bungie realllllllly wants to keep it for some random arbitrary reason (which would be in character for whatever nonsense ideas sprung up to do all the questionable things they have done to this game) then it would not necessarily make leveling irrelevant as you could still have a light level above the minimum, but perhaps that's it too? Just make the requirement for accessing a significantly more obtainable minimum than it is currently, primarily for gms, but still cap it off to ensure the challenge is still there.

Yep! This is exactly it.
