Yes, they shouldn't screw up that badly. But software is an inexact thing and people make errors. The fact that they fixed a critical thing quickly, and a stupid thing eventually, is better than if they didn't even bother.

While what you said is true, the fact that these kinds of issues keep happening over and over would indicate a lack of either care or competence that should never be applauded.
