Game freezing on RTX4090
So , after 300 hours of gameplay and trying to solve this problem - i can say its 100% Destiny 2 problem.
I have 11900kf and 4090 and my game freezing after 6+hours of gameplay.
1)I tried to use WIndows 10 and Windows 11 - nothing changes
2)I tried atleast 6 version of Nvidia Drivers - nothing changes
3)I tried different graphic settings like windows mode,high and low settings - nothing changes
4)I triend to turn off nvidia 3d cache , gsync on\off , 144hz 8bit , 144hz 10bit - nothings changes
5)I tried to reinstall \ clear cache \ use RAM cleaner - nothing changes
6)My system passed Memtest 86+ with no errors , Windows memtest - no errors, AIDA64 system stability test with no errors and OCCT stress test for 24 hours with no errors.
7)I have all drivers up-to-date , i tried with OC and without OC on stock settings - nothing changes.
game freezing after 6 hours of gameplay on any activity , im using 2nd desktop feuture on win11 to open task manager and close the game. In task manager game seems to be fine (its not *not responding* state).
In windows journal - no errors.

1 ReplyI am having the same issue, not good when it happens in the middle of a trials game. I recently built a new pc spec's below. Kingston KC3000 M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD 2TB Intel Core i9 13900K CPU ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero Motherboard G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 DDR5 EXPO ASUS GeForce RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC 24GB Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Gold 1200W PCIe 5.0 Power Supply Prior to upgrading to the 4090 I used to have a 3070 in the system that did not have the issue. I have tried windows 10 and 11 both have the same issue.

2 RepliesI have also been getting this since I built my new 4090. 7950x build. I had NO issues on my old system. But since the start of this season. Sometime I can last 5 hours. Sometime only 30 mins. What I found that helps. Setting destiny as priority. High performance mode. Rolled back my 4090 driver to the earliest driver possible. 511 something. Disable NZXT cam. Disabled ICUE. Disabled all fan monitoring programs. Lower all graphic settings lol. Today is the first day I have lasted 5+ hours without the game freezing. When it happens to me I have to restart my PC entirely. As it crashed the whole PC. I am glad I’m a way that I am not the only person with this problem.
