Bungies always pumping out excuses like that. Every one of their TWABs and developer interviews is built in excuses and CYA, with a side of peddling merchandise and eververse junk.

Eververse is always on point stocked an ready to go. I was sat earlier trying to work out how I felt I went wrong for me. D1 had something it wasn't the greatest in some respects but it had dark atmosphere with touches of comedy usually delivered by cayde, and replayability each week. D2 seems childish in dialogue, story and no sense of dark atmosphere. I think it was the osiris dlc not too sure where we doing the inverted spire and ghost said ooh look a vex milk waterfall, can we, awwwwww" that is my entire memory of d2 that line and I knew it was never going to be the same again. It's a children's story being read in a class room. It's a banal, uninteresting mess pandering to a plethora of political correctness and groups that seemingly need constant acceptance and affirmation. Is there hope, I don't see any coming. I will never have the feeling of stepping on to phobos for the first time, the screech of omnigul, the taken war, etc etc etc. Its all gone sadly. This is my personal opinion I do not speak for anyone else.

Destiny went from being boring, yet mysterious and genuinely interesting to a Disney like, Marvel action movie script made to appeal to kids and easily amused adults. A lot of AAA games write their stories like this now and it's extremely lame. It's like every story in a game has to have a bunch of unfunny quips to look "cool" and forced political agendas. One game that's getting kind of killed for this is Square Enix new game, Forspoken. Good looking game, bogged down by the Disney/Marvel effect.
