Creating a dedicated server environment isn't the easiest endeavor.
I love how most just think it's an easy flip a switch.

I absolutely understand it's not an easy endeavour. Doesn't change the fact we have been asking for it for 8 years though. Doesn't take 8 years to make lol. Even if they did something to stop the desync melees, melee whiffs, improved the tick rate, it would be so much better, but all we see is these sh11ty sandbox changes no one asked for LOL

They have made some improvements over the years. Upgrading server environments come in stages and it sometimes does take a long time to upgrade certain aspects. Also once you upgrade one thing, other things need it as well. It becomes a very expensive and time consuming upkeep. If you are familiar with server environments you'd know. Some places don't move fast on server upgrades.
