I’m also not able to download the new update. It comes up with the downloading an update file…. Page. But it never starts downloading. If I try to delete the game so I can reinstall it says I can’t.

I was able to get this resolved. Had to factory reset my PS5. After that I downloaded the game and it’s working fine now.
