Think of it this way;
Would you rather complete all of the required triumphs and then have to work on the guilded triumphs from scratch? or would you rather have all of your progress during the event count toward the guilding?
The fact that the Flamekeeper seal counted guilding triumphs toward the seal itself was a bug.
Edit: fixed typo

I don’t mind mind them counting. It just feels weird that I’ll have everything done but the 35 LS by the time I get the base title. Maybe I would’ve felt different if the 35 LS were part of gilding not a requirement for the base title. The way it is now it feels that this triumph and the time investment for it is the only thing barring me from two “title completions”. I don’t care about the gilding my title necessarily. It just feels bad that one triumph is keeping you from base and gilding. Gilding itself for me is something a player goes far and beyond for. Extra work put in, more than the required baseline. In this case it feels like you get the base title and gilding for free. This just doesn’t sit right with me.

Your triumph has tracked 16 runs, I’m honestly surprised that you’ve gotten everything else done in so few runs. Breaking it down, 35 runs over 3 weeks is just 12 per week (rounding up), 9 of which are covered just by doing the weekly brightdust bounties on each character; it’s not an excessive amount of runs in reality. You are entitled to your own opinion on the matter though which, if you wish to share with Bungie, would be better posted in #feedback.

I would’ve shared it in feedback if I would’ve been aware or sure it wasn’t a bug. With how many there were in this event so far and since I couldn’t find anything specifically about it, I posted here. That gilding counting towards flame keeper was a bug is something I wasn’t aware of until now. And I so far only got to the 16 completions because I got thrown into the EDZ LS a lot and had to do more runs to get the 3 completions per destination required. Even though I don’t like it I left two or so matches into the EDZ as soon as I landed in them. If I had been aware that gilding doesn’t in fact count towards completion I would’ve maybe approached the whole event differently. Either planned out my LS runs throughout the weeks or, more likely, would’ve just cared less about the whole event as it is. 16 completions to me personally already was too many to complete (mostly caused by loading into EDZ too many times back to back) but maybe I would’ve pushed myself to 20 knowing I wouldn’t enjoy it. I understand people have completed it more easily and I’m happy for them.

Edited by Dopefriik: 11/6/2022 10:38:06 AMI am aware of bugs and, as you hadn’t mentioned them, I assumed that you’d been (relatively) bug free. Myself and those I know were lucky enough to only be affected by the initial quest bug (manifested pages) - this does somewhat affect how (un)common bugs are perceived to be. I wasn’t trying to call you out for only having 16 runs tracked, I was just trying to illustrate that it was relatively few compared to others. I also feel your pain for any runs which didn’t count. I suggested you post in #feedback, not as a “wrong place” type of response but simply because that it the space we’ve been given to air grievances. I encourage anybody to post there when opinions are expressed, because they won’t be heard in #help. Sadly though, if you want the seal, you’re going to have to play the event more. We’re all at the mercy of Bungie; they make the game, they make the rules and we just get to participate. Edit: typos

I am glad you happened to have few bugs. I got affected by the bright dust issue, pages not manifesting and the pre boss round only spawning 9 nightmares (or what they are named again). Do you know whether there’s a way to cross post?
Do you know whether there’s a way to cross post?
I’m sure that there must be but I’ve never done so and can’t see how to do so via the app other than to manually post a URL.
