My personal experience is I wait for a few minutes in orbit or at the character selection part because I think that destiny hasn’t “fully loaded” you in destiny yet. Another way to tell that you’ve maybe “fully loaded” in destiny is having Bungie friends (preferably from different platforms), if they appear online then you’re in the clear to open mic. Take note that these friends are not from your clan cause they appear quicker than others from other platforms. [spoiler]long story short, use a bungie friend as a loading meter[/spoiler]
