Even if we ignore the other classes. Sythos and Ophidians. Thank you, Bore.

Thank you, Bore.[/quote] They don’t. You can test it yourself or just go back to the TWAB announcing the change to warlock melee range where they said all melees now had the same range and speed. Prior to that update, the warlock melee was a tad slower and had a meter more range.

We’re also removing the 1m range extension Warlocks received to compensate. We still think the idea of each class having unique qualities to their melee is interesting, but we want to do it in a way that won’t cause one class to consistently lose slap fights. Maybe someday in the future. Uncharged Melee Reduced melee range from 5.5m to 4.5m (now matches Hunter and Titan)" Yes. I see here. And that's just dandy. But it doesn't feel that way, and we don't have melee range exotic. And you know what, I made a fuss about 150s recoil pattern for over 6 months before Bungie acknowledged that the animation wasn't in sync with when the cross hair recoil would reset. So I'ma bang my drums until we at least get our own Ophidians. They say a lot of things on paper.

Ophidians and synthos definitely are better than the base melee. In the mean time your only option is deadly reach, which isn’t bad by any means, but does have an activation requirement.

Guess I should say that there’s no valid reason.

The speed was made the same and the Warlock lost the extra length. I would like to hear about aim assist cones being the same and the announcement of a Sythos on Hunters.

Range and speed is identical on all base melees though. More exotic options is never bad.
