Hello there, just to be a +1 person on this issue, same thing's happening to me as well. I similarly did a few rounds with resolving this problem:cache deletion, file verification, reinstallation of the game, and driver update but nothing worked. As you mentioned, I'm too just stuck in orbit, and the game crashes to desktop 1-2 seconds after the countdown to the "travel to X destination/activity". I too hope this issue will be resolved as soon as possible.
