The forest seems to be devoid of wildlife. The full moon hangs above.

"Bit odd." I'll attempt to climb a tree to get a better view of things.

You start to head in that direction! A bird starts to circle above

Checking my pockets, if I have any of my usual things I'll take out a small chip of bone to shape into a weapon if need be. Otherwise, I'll curse under my breath in Elvish and keep on truckin along.

You can grab the chip of bone! The bird dives at you!

"Hello friend!" I'll raise my left arm to offer a perch, while shaping the bone into a small knife with my other hand hidden behind my cloak!

It ignores your arm, and pecks ar your head!

"Ah! Jerk!" I try to grab it with my left hand and slash at it with the bone knife in the right!

You grab it, and stab the knife into it! It screeches, and -blam!- it’s wings wildly.
