Had the same issue for a week, this seamed to clear this up based on another forum chat i saw:
"3 simple things to do
1) go to your cmd and use the "ipconfig /flushdns", to clear its cache
2) deactivate your ethernet or wireless setting for a couple seconds and then reactivate it
3) if you have a network booster something like Lenovo Vantage Internet Booster, disable it completely"

I used a paid VPN, specifically NORD VPN. No more error codes and stuff and is actually neat even in PvP. Then I tried without VPN just earlier, problem still persists. Hopefully flushing dns will work.
