How long do you predict this RP will be?
English
-
Idk, however long people make it really!
-
Okie dokie. We’ll give this a try and see how far I go haha. Will weapons be necessary?
Skye rubs her eyes awake, immediately drawing in a short breath in the shock of the night’s chill. Her memory is a little foggy… she doesn’t really remember the last thing she was doing. She swivels around to take in her surroundings, confused and a little frightened.
-
It would be smart to have one
The moon sits above, shining little light onto the ground
-
She reaches for her com. Most of her gear is on her, but unfortunately, she finds her com missing. Biting her lip, she cautiously and a little clumsily searches for a tree to climb and hopefully figure out where she is from above the forest.
-
Most of the trees seem to be high enough quality to climb.
-
So she climbs and looks out over the forest for familiar terrain, if she can. Hopefully it’s a high enough tree, lol.
-
The trees all seem to go up to the same height. She can’t see anything around her but trees. A bird circles far overhead.
-
Skye huffs and looks skyward. Not thinking much of the bird, she proceeds to climb down.
-
The bird dives at her head, letting out a loud chirp!
-
Still in mild sleepy stupor, Skye doesn’t quite gage how big it is or how fast it’s coming. She feels the wind from its feathers and up swings her arm at it with a yelp.
-
It seems to dodge her arm, and scratches her head, before getting its claws stuck in her hair.
-
Oh no lol. She instinctually drops from the tree once she feels the claws break skin, likely dragging the bird down with her. She almost lands gracefully, but the bird caught in her hair sets her off. She trips with a shout of surprise and reaches up to get the bird out.
-
It uses its beak to go at her hands, and it’s wings flap around wildly, though Skye manages to get the bird out of her hair.
-
She throws the bird as far as she can and brings her hands over her daggers—at least she still has those—watching the bird should it attack again,
-
The bird shrieks, and seems to turn to shadows once it gets far enough away
-
Skye takes on a more sturdy pose now that there is a pause in the action. However, she continues to stare at where the bird was, not sure if she saw a trick of darkness or magic. Drawing her daggers, she makes them pulse with electricity for some light.
-
They generate a small amount of light, but it’s much less then normal.
-
Nonetheless, Skye uses whatever she can get from them to peer into the shadows. If the bird doesn’t return, she slowly retreats.
-
The bird doesn’t return, so she retreats! The wind seems to pick up a bit.
-
She’s mostly forgotten about the pain of her wound by now, the adrenaline of the situation keeping her going. When the wind picks up, it’s not until she attempts to fix her hair that she feels the blood and the pain returns. “No, no, no….” Wincing, she takes a moment to recover before she tried to figure out how deep it is.
-
It doesn’t seem to be too deep, but it isn’t pretty either.
-
Without her med kit, she simply hopes it won’t bleed too much before she finds a way home. For now, she feels strong enough to trudge onward by the light of a dagger. As she goes, her mind races for any memory of how she got there. She unintentionally pictures the faces and names of her friends, knowing the last time she lost her memory had great consequences.
-
She can’t seem to remember anything regarding how she got here. In the distance, two red eyes appear
-
Skye stops, lowering her dagger to see past its glare. After the last encounter she had with this forest’s residents, she doesn’t want to be too hasty to call out to whatever is out there. She attempts to lightly step around the eyes. If it’s anything friendly, hopefully it would show it.
-
The eyes seem to tilt but don’t blink
