This all makes sense, although I don't think Nezerac will side with us.
The Witness released Eramis, if she finds the pieces of Nezerac and put him back together. I think Nezerac may be a potential boss or raid boss in Lightfall.

Nezerac has been stated to have betrayed the Witness hasn’t he? I think he will sort of be an independent entity with his own motives.
