If you get Gambit engrams you can get the Drifter to decode them, in which case you can choose the weapon you're wanting. At least last season you could do this. I haven't played Gambit this season so maybe they changed this.

I can't select servant leader to be decoded by the drifter as it has to drop randomly first, which it hasn't yet.

Ah, yes. I forgot about that. Well I hope you get it soon. It's actually not bad. I like mine that has Osmosis so that in my primary can deal out elemental damage in equipment locked, match game activities. Plus it reminds me of the old carbines the US Army used in WWII.
