I’m more curious to how he ended up cut up and boxed away across the solar system.
Final Shape, unless it’s been changed too, has only meant the last one to prove themselves worthy of existence.
You don’t need anyone for that. Bringing him back would be a regression, making it further away, not closer

Delicate Tomb makes it clear that if these pieces are of Nezerac, he’s not dead. He’s still aware, watching, waiting.

Was my impression.

Which lends more reason for the Witness to piece him together. If the Lunar Pyramid is of some interest to the Witness as seen in Haunted, there’s really two possibilities. 1. The Witness was looking to ascertain the status of Nezerac. 2. The Lunar Pyramid itself has some role in plans to come. The first doesn’t warrant further explanation but the second does. If Calus failed to commandeer the Pyramid, why not seek out the already established pilot? There’s also the possibility that the Witness is only looking for information. Could be that Nezerac was entrusted with something that’s now central to the Witness’s plan. Something that was perhaps left on Neptune when Nezerac originally arrived in the system Pre-Golden Age.
-
Likely just the first. A disciple goes rogue and vanishes? For there to be a plan set in motion pre Golden Age, there would of had to of been a lot of foresight. Knowing the Traveler would go there and stuff. But then, if they knew that, they would of just set an ambush. A fleet is more effective then a single ship.

My thought process was more that Nezerac went into stasis within the Pyramid to await his purpose, only to be cut into pieces in his sleep.
-
I’m wondering who could of done it.

Edited by Shockwave 989: 9/10/2022 9:44:56 PMWell if he was sleeping, could’ve been anyone. But considering the season it was probably the Fallen. Because the only other logical option is Humanity, who 110% didn’t considering they only found traces of the Lunar Pyramid just before the Collapse.

Wondering if it was the Hive, maybe Savathun. For the Fallen to do it, contain Darkness power like that? Seems out of their reach. Containing Darkness isn’t easy. Drifters experience at the fortress world shows it takes some tech to do it.
-
We’re talking about the same race that bootstrapped devices to forcibly wield Stasis. Makes sense to me.

Doubtful considering the isolationist nature they had in the early days. Before Mara lost the House of Wolves.
