Gonna Be Kinda Disappointed If the New Subclass Is Just Soulfire/Hive Magic
The subclass shown in the new trailer for Lightfall looks great and I love the color and aesthetic but I hope the lore for it is something completely new and creative instead of what we’ve been seeing the Hive use for years.
Edit: Strand and its lore sound awesome. Gimme.

Strand is the manipulation of the casual interactions of matter, energy, and life, paracausally disrupting their states and function within reality. Where Stasis would simplify and sequence matter and energy into perfect crystals and messing with the entropy of them, Strand unravels and tightens the bonds of atoms and molecules. Both are related to the idea of the shape of something which is really cool. I think they knocked it outta the park following the rules of what Darkness is.

They already said that we’re the first to discover this and they also día d that strand is like a power ripped from another dimension to use our consciousness as a weapon

If you watched the showcase, you’d know what Strand is. They explained it before they even revealed the individual supers themselves.

It looks amazing, but the page for Lightfall has capitalized words like "Weave" and "Thread", so it is likely to be something new.

Agreed. I'm torn cuz part of me wanted hive magic but then the matrix explanation has me hyped for other reasons, mostly what it means for lore as you're speaking on
