XSX no season pass after purchasing Deluxe Edition

I've played Destiny 2 in the past on PC. Now, I purchased the Deluxe Edition on Xbox, opened the game up for the first time there, and followed instructions to link my existing steam account to Cross Save. Now the game shows I own all the expansions and deluxe edition, but season pass is not active and it shows me options to purchase it again. How can I fix this? I don't want to lose my existing character, and even attempting to disable cross-save will initiate a 90-day cooldown before it can be reenabled.

Explain that you mistakenly bound the passes to your dormant account due to cross saving after purchase.     • Did you set your Steam account as the main in the Cross-Save, didn't you? Season passes and now dungeon keys are applied to the first account that logs in after purchase; since you state you logged in your Xbox account after purchase but before activating Cross-Save, they were applied to your Xbox account which is now dormant.
