Please Bungie why would you Collab with a franchise with gamers that have the attention span of a ham sandwich. They would get bored within seconds *facepalms* disclaimer I've played Fortnite for years the game isn't bad and never said it was it's just a very impatient game that only has one game mode that actually matters.

Well it's one of the largest franchises in gaming right now, has the largest amount of collaborations with other industries (fun fact it's canon in both DC and Marvel comics) and makes an absurd amount of revenue consistently. Honestly it was just a matter of time before it happened. Fortnite has quickly become to videogames what the House of Mouse is to visual media, maybe even close to surpassing the Mouse.

I guess the same reason everybody else does, it’s one of the biggest franchises out there and they are looking to advertise to the people who play it. It seems pretty complex (having never played it myself but watching my nephew a few times) sort of think on the fly mixed with RNG acquiring gear on site. I don’t think they’d be into Destiny though, just like they weren’t super into Halo Infinite either as it doesn’t have the same interactions, in a way you’re absolutely right in that the average fortnight player probably wouldn’t be as entertained by this game. But maybe some will, and that’s why they advertise and cross promote.
