Nothing to fix.
If you didn't have them in your inventory it doesn't count.

Edited by BigbbyDavey: 8/17/2022 10:32:58 AMAs i said iv seen this reply already, frankly false and ridiculous in my opinion, there is definitely something to fix when someone puts time and effort into earning something in a mmo such as this and is not rewarded the same as everyone else as a result of a change the developers made. as i said before, unfair and a bug that needs to be fixed asap. thanks.
As i said iv seen this reply already, frankly false and ridiculous in my opinion,
Your opinion is irrelevant. What I told you it IS fact.
there is definitely something to fix when someone puts time and effort into earning something in a mmo such as this and is not rewarded the same as everyone else as a result of a change the developers made.
If you want to make your slight inconveniences known I suggest you move this post to the feedback section of the forum.
as i said before, unfair and a bug that needs to be fixed asap. thanks.
Unfair? probably. But there's nothing to fix.

I think there could be a fix here, from what the post says, the account in question used all of the “item” of the shader from their inventory, maybe some kind of system in place to dismantle items from the vault to return the unlock could be put in place. Since you couldn’t trade items, anything in your vault is obviously yours account wide. The same way dismantling a dreaming city weapon drops the weapons shaders.

These responses are asinine af. This is a valid complaint and there isn’t, nor has there ever been, a fix made for this. Pretending like it’s this persons fault for losing shaders they earned because bungie overhauled a cosmetic system and then griefing them in the comments shows you not only can’t read but you don’t even want to agree because you likely never took a break from the game like any normal healthy human often does. Your superiority complex has ruined your ability to interact with other players. Imagine you took a break from destiny, a game mainly driven by cosmetics, and you returned to find that bungie wiped your collection. You’d be upset too. Not to mention that bungie has taken (small) steps at reintroducing shaders back into the game that were lost to the games progression. There’s plenty of players running around with gambit jadestone or gambit suede who never played during season of the dawn and yet Bungie introduced ways of gaining these shaders again or dismantling gear from then and getting it that way. What is wrong with allowing players who have the gear to dismantle it to get the shader? Since your reading comprehension is non existent, that is what this person is requesting. So rather than relying with pointless responses like “there’s nothing to fix” just take a moment and recognize that things COULD be better than they are. Why gatekeep cosmetics so passionately? Find a new life purpose. Or better yet touch grass and stay out of the forums and stop making the community more toxic than it already is 🤡

There's nothing to fix. Never said it was his fault. But if he wants to express his grievances then he can make a new post in the feedback section or better yet on Reddit.

Edited by BigbbyDavey: 8/18/2022 12:17:37 AMWow, i don’t know what to say other than thank you so much for your reply, and from a genuine weathered long time player of the game(unlike the previous replies, who have completely unplayed/barren accounts), a little empathy and a solution to a genuine problem (not a minor inconvenience thanks for your worthless judgement) was all i asked but instead all this thread has accomplished is prove that some people lack the ability to hypothetically put themselves in someone else’s circumstance or read at all. Instead choosing to grief a genuine help thread for no reason at all. honestly sad.
-
Nah, thanks for your worthless input no-one asked for, but i think ill leave it here in help so it gets fixed.

There's nothing to fix.
-
So players revoked rewards don’t warrant a fix? “Nothing to fix” makes no sense.

History lesson. When D2 launched there was no Collections. Shaders we're consumable items in your inventory. Bungie decided to implement Collections. They announced that Collections would come at the launch of Warmind. Up to that point they were not tracking everything each acct had earned. They announced at the start of Warmind your Collections would be populated by the items in our inventory at the launch of Warmind. Shaders had to be in your inventory to make it into your collection. They would not track shaders applied to gear. This decision was likely to make it easier to code for the developers. They told everyone in advance how collections would work. They told everyone how collections would be populated. If you didn't have the actual shader in your collection, you could have run the raid again before Warmind launched. They can't go back to see that you earned the shader because they didn't start tracking what we earned until Warmind. Maybe they'll bring back Leviathan and that shader. Maybe they won't. So again, nothing to fix.

Nobody asked for your pedantic history lesson. The fact that you assumed anyone here wasn’t around for that change kinda shows how and why you use the forums. Stop flexing on newer players. It’s sad. Rather than giving everyone a lecture in a help forum, you could have dropped the cringey emojis and gone back to lurking. Instead you wasted everyone’s time and missed the point of the entire conversation. Gg

Looks like you needed the history lesson kid. Glad I could help.

This boomer energy rn is why no one uses the forums. Say your old and gate yourself without saying your old and gate yourself. Kiss your friend goodnight for me grandpa.

Nothing was revoked buddy. Bungie told us how it was going to work. Would you have preferred that none of the consumable shaders transferred? Would you have preferred the old shader system stayed?
-
I can almost see where you’re coming from with “there’s nothing to fix” so I’ll raise you with “ something to be implemented”
-
I can almost see where you’re coming from with “there’s nothing to fix” so I’ll raise you with “ something to be implemented”
See now that's a compelling argument. One more suited for the feedback section.
Nothing was revoked buddy. Bungie told us how it was going to work. Would you have preferred that none of the consumable shaders transferred? Would you have preferred the old shader system stayed?
I think we all would prefer that the worked for and earned shaders shouldn’t be completely out of the players grasp because of time away from a game, especially when there’s proof of accomplishment on the accounts in question “buddy”
-
I suggest you be happy you got anything at all. Maybe make a Reddit post I'm sure they'll listen then.
-
Why you so rude on a help forum, I don’t get it. If there isn’t a more helpful answer that just “nothing to fix, goodbye” then why even respond to the post? There’s a guy here asking for help, on the help forum, from bungie about a shader he would like back, somehow. And you just hop in with a “who cares, -blam!- off” answer. I thought the point of the forums where to ask for assistance and discuss possible solutions between other players until someone with some actual clearance can give us a respectable answer? Not just to brush off issues with no remorse whatsoever.

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/261556107/0/0 Because we are not here to hold their hand or coddle them. We are here to simply give the answer Bungie has provided for us. And it's up to them to accept it. If they want to make a change then they go to the feedback section or Reddit.
-
No one asked you to coddle anyone. No one asked you to say anything. In fact my original point is that you are even commenting at all because you literally have brought no value to this whatsoever. If it’s moot to post this here, why didn’t you just keep scrolling and leave it at the bottom. Also we’ll see if you even read this and registers with you but what you said was a “compelling argument” was already mentioned. Nice job.
